1) Japanese ramen What you’ll need:
  • Soup-based instant noodles (chicken, beef or seafood flavour)
  • Hard-boiled egg
  • Seaweed snack packs
  • Frozen pre-cooked Japanese fishcake (available from supermarkets)
  1. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the packaging.
  2. Drop the pre-cooked Japanese fishcake into the pot while the noodles are cooking.
  3. Peel the hard-boiled egg and cut it into half.
  4. Pour the cooked noodles and Japanese fishcake into a bowl.
  5. Have your noodles with slices of seaweed and the two halves of the hard-boiled egg.
2) Sunny side up What you’ll need:
  • Dry-based instant noodles
  • Luncheon meat
  • Eggs
  1. Cook the noodles according to the packaging instructions and set aside.
  2. Cut a few thick slices of luncheon meat and fry them in a hot pan with a little oil until they are slightly brown on both sides.
  3. Using the same pan, fry your egg sunnyside up. Make sure the yolk is left runny.
  4. Enjoy your noodles with the egg on top and luncheon meat slices at the side.
3) Kimchi cheese What you’ll need:
  • Kimchi-flavoured instant cup noodles
  • Cheese slices
  • Kimchi
  1. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the cup.
  2. Quickly put a slice of cheese on top of the noodles before you close the cover.
  3. After three minutes, open the cover and stir in a few slices of kimchi for an additional kick.
4) Corn chowder What you’ll need:
  • Instant noodles
  • Canned corn soup
  • A pair of scissors
  1. Cook the noodles in boiling water but do not use the seasoning provided. Drain and set aside.
  2. Open the canned corn soup and cook it, following the instructions on the can.
  3. Cut the noodles into small pieces.
  4. Stir in the cut-up noodles when the corn soup is almost done and continue to stir.
  5. Serve hot.
5) Baked cheese mee What you’ll need:
  • Instant noodles
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  1. Cook the noodles in boiling water but do not use the seasoning provided. Drain the soup.
  2. Spread the noodles in a thin layer in a shallow dish and top it generously with shredded cheese.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Bake it in the oven until the cheese melts and forms a golden-brown crust.
6) Mee burger What you’ll need:
  • Instant noodles
  • Frozen burger patty
  • Cheese slices
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • Lettuce
  • Butter or olive oil
  1. Cook the noodles in boiling water but do not use the seasoning packet. Drain and shape into two round portions and set aside.
  2. Oil a frying pan with butter and fry the portions on both sides until they are crispy.
  3. Fry the frozen burger patty.
  4. While the patty is still hot, quickly melt the slice of cheese on top of it and put your burger together with the lettuce, tomatoes and onions
7) Snack mix What you’ll need:
  • Instant noodles
  • Snacks like prawn crackers or pretzels
  • Assorted nuts
  1. Break the instant noodle brick into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix them in a huge bowl together with the other snacks.
8) Veggie delight What you’ll need:
  • Instant noodles (chicken or seafood flavour)
  • Frozen peas and corn
  • Assorted vegetables like mushrooms, carrots and potatoes
  1. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Boil the vegetables that take a longer time to soften (like carrots and potatoes) for 10 minutes.
  3. Cook your instant noodles in boiling water according to the instructions on the packaging.
  4. While the noodles are boiling, quickly throw in a handful of frozen peas and corn and the previously boiled vegetables, and stir.
  5. Serve hot.
