Media-savvy CEOs are more likely to draw a higher salary than their publicity-shy counterparts, according to research from the Nanyang Business School. About 4,000 CEOs and over 100,000 news articles from 1997 to 2009 were reviewed in this study, which found that the more frequently a CEO is profiled in the media, the higher his pay – about US$210,239 more on average. Now, who says talk is cheap?
