Giving wings to needy students

Going for an overseas exchange programme or internship can set you back by a bit. For Nanyang Business School students, their ticket to global immersion might be in an equal opportunity fund started at the school by three of its alumni – Carolyn Choo, chief executive of Worldwide Hotels, Danny Yong, founding partner of hedge fund firm Dymon Asia Capital, and Henry Tan, group CEO of accounting firm Nexia TS. With a combined donation of $250,000, they created the fund in April, which will also go towards helping needy students who join international case competitions and community projects.
