A jab at fake news

It’s easy to be persuaded by provocative prose, especially when presented in the echo chambers of social media. Studies from NTU have found that people who are more reliant on social media for their news are more likely to be sceptical of COVID-19 vaccines. However, social media users who can assess whether news is credible or not have more confidence in vaccines. To counter fake news on vaccines, NTU researchers suggest that governments and companies can be more transparent about vaccine safety to help ensure the correct information is conveyed.
