The dark side of Facebook

It’s human nature to compare our lives to those of others on social media, but it might become an unhealthy cycle, says an NTU prof. Facebook users who spend more time on the platform are more likely to feel that others have better lives than them, and are more likely to develop symptoms of depression as a result. This, in turn, increases their use of social media further. Don’t fall into this trap, and remember that social media doesn’t paint a full picture of someone’s life.
